With an engagement being only three weeks… and a move happening 6 days after the wedding day….there wasn’t much room for a honeymoon. We did want to get away from home, but we didn’t want to get on a plane. We stayed two nights at the Snoqualmie Falls resort Salish Lodge. We had a beautiful room on the river…with a loud roar of the falls when we opened our deck doors. Our stay included a 5 or 6 course breakfast the next morning. Then, our bridal party drove up to snoqualmie falls and brought a bunch of intertubes, and we floated the river all day together. We talked about all the funny things that happened during the wedding day…we talked about our future plans….and we talked about how much we would miss each other when we are across the country. It was such a fun way to spend the day after our wedding. I know it will go down as one of my favorite memories. We then drove into the mountains and went to Leavenworth, WA. Tucker had never been, and I had only been for a day here and there. We enjoyed laughing at the quaint town and we were able to take a short hike into the mountains and find a beautiful spot on the river. No one was around and we felt like we had to have traveled for days to be at a spot that beautiful, but no…it was only an hour away from home. My dream was to go to Santorini, Greece. I am still holding out. I’m thinking that would be a GREAT graduation present!
